Dato’ Mohammad Foad bin
Abdullah was born on 30 April 1957 at Tanjung Karang,
Selangor. He was graduated from Universiti Malaya (UM) in South East Asia
Studies. B.A. (Hons). In
addition, he also had a Diploma in Public Administration from INTAN.As a former
Pegawai Tadbir
& Diplomatik (PTD
Officer), he has served 34 years with Malaysian Government in various ministry
and agency. His first stint was with Biro Tatanegara at Prime Minister Office (PMO) as
Assistant Director.
Then,
he was appointed as Assistant Director of Selangor State Economy Planning Unit,
Selangor State Deputy Finance Officer, Chief Assistant Secretary (Development)
of Bahagian Kemajuan
Wilayah dan Perancangan Lembah
Kelang, Chief Assistant Secretary (Development)of Kementerian
Wilayah Persekutuan, Deputy Chief Director (Administration & Development)
of Jabatan Kemajuan Masyarakat,
Deputy Chief Director of Jabatan
Pembangunan Wanita,
Deputy Secretary General (Administration) for Ministry of Women, Family and
Community Development, Section Secretary (Human Resource) for Ministry of
Defense and his last position was Deputy Secretary General (Administration) for
Ministry of Defense.
In
his service, he was awarded with Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang four
times in 1989, 1996, 2003 and 2005. In 2008, he received Darjah Kebesaran, Bintang dan Pingat
Persekutuan – Bintang Kesatria Mangku
Negara (KMN) and later in 2010,
